We met on a Tuesday.
Became best friends, then lovers, on a Tuesday.
And everything fell apart on a Tuesday…
Charlotte Taylor has three automatic strikes in my book: 1) She hates me. She also claims that I’m a “domineering jerk with a huge, overbearing ego.” (I do have something huge. It’s not my ego, though.) 2) She takes our mandatory tutoring sessions way too seriously. 3) She’s sexy as hell…And a virgin.
At least, those were her strikes before our study sessions started lasting longer than they were supposed to. Until one innocent kiss became a hundred dirty ones, and until she became the first woman I ever fell hard for.
Our future together after graduation was supposed to be set:
Professional football for me. Law school for her.
But she left me at the end of the semester with no explanation, and then she completely disappeared from my life.
Until tonight.
We met on a Tuesday.
Became everything, then nothing, on a Tuesday.
And now it’s seven years later, on a Tuesday…
*This is a full length second chance romance, inspired by Adele’s “When We Were Young”

*I would like to thank Indie Sage PR for hosting the tour and I apologize for missing my tour schedule.*

Exciting and heart-breaking at the same time.

Blogger’s Note: This review will be divided into two parts. One for the audiobook quality and performance and one for the actual story.

Review on the audio book:

5 stars

To tell you the truth, this was my first ever audio book and I must say it DID NOT DISAPPOINT.

Every emotion is so much more intense and I constantly feel giddy when listening. All my reactions to scenes are also intense. I can’t not verbalize my reactions. I seldom want to punch something or scream! It didn’t even help that I was on a bike while listening to sweet scenes.

Voice Actors:
I love how they change their voice tones when a different person is speaking in the story. They either go higher or lower depending on the character. Erin Mallon and Joseph Discher are both really talented and they truly bring the characters to life. They express emotions very well. Listening to the audio reminded me of radio dramas I used to listen to every day.

Over all, they did a great job with making the book in to an audiobook and now I can’t wait to listen to more from Audible.

Review on the story:

5 stars

A simple and cliche plot but I do love cliches when it comes to romance. From the moment I felt sparks fly between our two main characters, I always wondered what went wrong in their relationship. They are perfect for each other and they barely argue. Both make sure to face their problems and talk it through. Turns out their break-up was caused by something they never saw coming. Utterly devastating and mind-blowing, I literally cried during scenes that are extremely sad and heartbreaking.

Grayson Connors

I love how cocky Grayson can be. He knows what he’s capable of, knows his limits, and knows what he has both physically and mentally. His character of being this humble, famous football player that everyone thinks he just sleeps around and beds professors for grades. When a knows what he wants, Grayson is the type of man who doesn’t stop until he gets it.

Charlotte Taylor

Charlotte’s character is a strong, independent woman. She has been through so much. She could have easily blamed Grayson for messing up her life but he did also help steer her in the right direction despite the huge bumps on the road.

My ultimate favorite form of writing a second-chance romance. Switching the story settings between the past and the present until all emotions collide.

I kinda wanted more for the ending, but I don’t think it could get any better than that. Whitney G is such an amazing romance author and I cannot wait to read more from her.
