Wrap-up & Book Haul: May 2018

May has been a slow month for me. I finished a book very slowly and I also went out a lot of days to spend time with my friends and family. Gotta keep that social life. Finished 3 ARCs, not bad. I’m catching up with my ARCs so I can finally read all the books I haven’t had the chance to reading. I’m so behind! So many books, not enough time!

Though I finished only 8 books this month, I want to hustle in June. Read. Read. Read. Oh and write! Can’t ignore that unfinished story I’m writing.

Cracked Kingdom (Royals #5) by Erin Watt

Wrapped in My Wife by Alexa Riley

The Oddling Prince by Nancy Springer

A Court of Frost and Starlight (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3.5) by Sarah J. Maas

Bring Me Their Hearts by Sara Wolf (Review Scheduled for June 8)

Burn the Dark (Elwood Legacy #2) by Nicola Rose

Mistress Mine by Gabrielle Dubois

The Divinity Bureau by Tessa Clare (Review to come)

Check out my May Book Haul! This is the first time I’ve even thought of showing my book haul for the month because I barely buy more than one book in a couple months. But this May I got 5 new books! Two (Hamlet & Dumplin’) are a gift from my mom, my reward for passing an exam. A Court of Frost and Starlight is bought by my boyfiend’s money. (I made him a deal that if I lose weight and darken my hair color, he’d buy me a book for each accomplishment. So now he still owes me a book, but then I passed the exam so he owes me two books! Which I’ll claim later in the year for more SJM books. Yasss!) Queen of Shadows is a gift from by best friend; I asked her to get me one because they have Fully Booked in her city and I’d pay her when she gets home to the province but she said I don’t have to and it’s her belated birthday gift to me. (This is the second time she’s gifted me a book, it always starts with me asking her to buy me one and I’d pay her back. She’s just the best.) Empire of Storms is my gift to myself for passing said exam. It’s my first ever bargain book and I got it for a really cheap price. It even came with the designed jacket.
