Title: Lithium Tides (Lithium Springs #2)
Author: Carmel Rhodes
Released Date: April 26th 2018
Synopsis on Goodreads:
Whose bed is this?
That was Kensie’s first thought as she peeled her eyes open to find herself in an unfamiliar room. She noted the crumpled red dress, tiny black thong, and Louboutin heels in the corner.
Whose arms are these?
That was her second thought as the tattooed arms engulfing her tightened their grip. Her phone buzzed on the nightstand. Carefully, without waking up the man behind her, she reached for it. The name on the display read Prince Charming.
“How are you still asleep at one in the afternoon?” Trey’s familiar baritone rang in her ear.
“Long night,” she rasped. The man behind her chuckled, his mouth warm on her ear.
“Well, wake up. My flight leaves in an hour and I can’t wait to see you.”
“I can’t wait,” she said weakly.
What have I done?
That was her third thought as the weight of her recklessness consumed her.
She was a cheater.

Filled with emotions that left me grinning and hurting even when I was standing in the grocery store buying food. It’s that good.
Because pain is fleeting, and because love is everlasting, and because this heart of mine, fractured though it may be, is still beating.
P L O T
This is the kind of book that I live for. It plays with my feelings, one moment I’m laughing at the characters, then I’m getting butterflies from all the romance, and before I know it I’m hurting and cursing over their bad decisions and highly expected reactions.
If you ask me what the plot is about I could give you a straight answer but it wouldn’t be enough to convince you to read it and to express how much this book affected me as a reader. There’s humor, it’s naughty, they’re sinful, there’s DRAMA, romance, and bittersweet heartbreak.
The story takes us in a wild adventure about reconnecting ties with your family, finding yourself, forgiveness and taking a leap of faith.
Time was a matter of perspective. It could either move at the speed of light or it could drag on for eternity. It all depended on the person, their place in life, their distance from a situation, and their ability to look past themselves and see things as they really were.

She loves hard and she loves true. She wears her heart on her sleeve which makes her vulnerable to pain and heartache but it’s who she is. I love how she wrote a bucket list to get her life back on track and to find herself in all the chaos in her life.
She loved him with everything she had and it wasn’t enough.
My dear misunderstood Peter Pan. I love how broken he is but he doesn’t hate the world and he has kept his heart pure and golden. Though he did do bad things, hurtful even, people can be forgiven, they can redeem themselves and if they deserve the chance, then why not?
“I could never put you in a cage. I don’t want to change you.”
Both characters had grown by the end of this book, they started as two immature adults but ended as two people independent of each other. But let’s not forget about the minor characters. Yes! They are all amazing, their families, friends, I could already sense the next couple in the series because they’ve been mentioned a lot in here. Jam is the best friend I love, for sure she loves Kensie more than she loves her boyfriend. It’s obvious enough.
“If you’re looking for perfection, you’ll never be satisfied.”

I can’t lie this was a really long read. I keep wondering if my Kindle app was broken because I’m pretty sure I’ve already read a lot in the book and major things have happened but I haven’t even reached half of the book! This was not one of those “I don’t want it to end” reads, I wanted it to end, I wanted them to have their happily ever after. I couldn’t stand their misery and lack of purpose in the world.
Emotions were immortal spirits hiding in mortal beings. You could free yourself by releasing them out into the world, or you could let them eat you alive — but you couldn’t change what you wouldn’t confront.
O V E R A L L
I can’t count how many colorful words I used as I was reading this, how many times I didn’t care if I was disturbing the people in our house late at night because it was so good and it deserved all my unrestrained reactions.
I kept texting my friends about my reading progress and what’s happening because I need to let out some energy! An amazing read, worth my sleepless nights and worth my time. This book is officially in the running for my top 10 best reads in 2018.
“He drives me insane, yet, I’m so foolishly and hopelessly in love.”
